Real Vs. Ideal

I don't know what to write.
Is this a common occurrence? I've started a blog with nothing useful to write. It seems ridiculous. For a few months now I've had an urge to write, and the best outlet at the time seemed to be to start up a blog.

Ideally, this blog should work as such:

Real: I post how things are in the real world, this includes reviews of games, films, music, confectionery, other blogs, life, the universe and everything.

Ideal: I post previews of the above topics, hyping them up in the most biased way possible, then I compare them with reality. Here I'll well on the way things could be, should be, and how in my mind, they would be ideal.

In reality, this blog might never truly get off the ground, but hey, fingers crossed. It'll be a hoot if it does.
